Sweetie Bouquet

Here's one I made earlier. A sweetie bouquet!

I saw this idea on a website years ago and just had to make one. I first featured it on Liberty Cottage in October 2008. You can read more about it there.

The instructions to make one are as follows:


1. Take one plantpot/bucket - This one is about 20cm in diameter and 15cm depth - doesn't matter about how big it is, but just make sure it is quite deep and/or sturdy (this was ceramic and was ideal, not sure how well plastic would fare!)

2. Fill with dry oasis (stuff from the florist) OR plasticine/blu-tack

3. Sellotape chocolate bars to skewers (kebab skewer type things for BBQ's)

4. Sellotape curly bits of ribbon to skewers of different sizes (cut them!)

5. Begin by inserting the tallest chocolate bars in the middle and work all the way around in a circle, with the smaller sweets round the outside.

6. Put the ribbon skewers in between to fill gaps

7. Hey presto your very own Sweetie Bouquet :)


It was originally a gift for a poorly man in hospital, and got so many great comments. You can alter it in so many ways, a Christmas, Easter, Valentine's theme!

A bit late for Christmas 2009, but plenty of time to get this fabulous gift wrapping idea perfected for Christmas 2010.

This idea comes from According to Kelly. (Although I agree with her, he needs a red nose!) Chocolate bars need never be boring presents again!

Cute photo frame idea from Ruffles and Stuff and a great step-by-step tutorial too. Looks so effective and cost next to nothing! Check back this evening for the cutest wrapping idea!

It is a place to showcase the ideas I have seen, and continue to see as I browse Blogsville.

Ever see something fab and forget to bookmark it? I do it all the time, so apart from anything else, this blog is a memory jogger for me, and I hope you enjoy it too!

99% of items on this blog are not mine, and links are always given to the original posts/tutorials and ideas. When it is my post and my idea, I'll sing it from the tree tops :)

With this post being the exception, there is unlikely to be much chat or waffling, I just want to show you the ideas. You can make your own mind up.

You can also rate the posts by how good you think the project idea is! (if you are unsure just tick 5 haha!). At the moment, there is a bit of weird advertising on there saying "you might like..." - this is currently nothing to do with my blog and should be fixed (i.e. vanished) by tomorrow, but waiting for the owner of the ratings widget to help me out)

So, what is your resolution for this year? Is it to scrapbook? If so, you've just tuned in for the right day as Project 365 starts all over again for 2010. It is a photography/scrapping project where you take one picture a day for a whole year and document it however you can.

There is a Flickr group here for moral support.

Or lots of scrapbooking forums have threads dedicated to it.

One completed Project 365 album can be found here. I think she deserves a medal.
